For over a decade QCASA has been a leader in the field of substance abuse treatment, prevention and recovery identifying trends, providing support, developing comradery to work together with the common interest to help all affected by substance abuse and alcoholism. This includes helping providers, consumers and family members alike.
The Queens Consortium on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse addresses the issues that impact those who use/abuse alcohol and substances - and their family members. Treatment providers, Prevention providers, Recovery advocates, along with our partners who have vested interest in helping those affected by substance have come together. We work together to provide support and education to best help the residents of Queens County with a goal to promote awareness, unity and social change within Queens County.
The Queens Consortium is possible as a result of a collaboration with NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYCDOHMH) & the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). Additionally, the Queens Consortium on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse is an active part of state level happenings in the field by their participation in various workgroups and being part of the NYS Association of Substance Abuse Providers (ASAP).
